This notice explains how CaraKey Property Partners Ltd, trading as CaraKey Stays ("we", "us"), uses personal information when you enquire about a stay, contact us or use this website.
Who we are
CaraKey Property Partners Ltd (company number 17451736, registered office 300 Main Road, Duston, Northampton, England, NN5 6NJ) is the controller of your information. Contact: enquiries@carakey.co.uk.
What we collect
- What you send through the enquiry form: your name, your email address and your message.
- What you send by email or WhatsApp, such as your dates, how many people are staying and your company's details.
- If you stay with us, the details needed to arrange and confirm the stay.
Why we use it, and the legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, give you a price and arrange your stay: steps you asked for before a contract, and the contract itself (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To talk to property owners who contact us about their homes: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To keep the records the law requires, such as tax records: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- To keep this website secure and working: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
We don't use your details for marketing and we don't sell them.
Who helps us
These providers handle information for us, only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions.
- Resend, which delivers the form to our email inbox.
- Afaceri Diaspora Ltd, which built and maintains this website and keeps a copy of form messages so none are lost.
- Microsoft, our email provider, and WhatsApp (Meta), when you contact us that way.
- Google, only if you choose to load the map.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to a stay are deleted within 12 months. Records of stays and payments are kept for six years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email enquiries@carakey.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or advertising. The Google map loads only if you allow it; when it does, Google may set cookies. See the cookie notice.
